It’s 2025. You’re drowning in the sea of 99,000 songs uploaded to streaming platforms every single day.

Finding good new music feels more like a full-time gig than a chill hobby. Luckily, jentestore’s own Writer/DJ, Editor O, wants to help anyone who loves music get out of Spotify jail and stop listening to only throwbacks on repeat.

1. Central Cee

The streets of West London raised Central Cee, and he's been repaying them with bangers ever since. He’s a pro at whipping up viral tracks, dropping witty punchlines and explosive hooks over a heavy drill bassline. First stepping into the booth at the age of fourteen, he’s now mixing melodies with viral one-liners that are stretching the boundaries of London hip-hop. Breaking into the Anglophone mainstream, especially the US, is a whole different beast for UK rappers. Accents, slang and key cultural differences can put a serious damper on radio play and more importantly playlist slots. But Cench is chipping away at that wall. With his singles, ‘Doja’ and ‘Sprinter’ still all over the global streaming charts, he’s not asking for permission.

The skullcap, that thin, brimless beanie, isn’t just an accessory in London anymore. It’s an official street uniform. Whether he’s in a music video or just popping up on your Instagram feed, you can almost always find him rocking one. You can tell that fans and anyone else who’s paying attention has been taking notes, because go for a walk in London and you’ll see the city’s youth wearing them wherever you look.

Everyone was losing their minds over his Met Gala fit back in May, when the man who once swore he'd never be caught dead in a suit showed up in a custom-ftted Jacquemus suit. The black double-breasted jacket was cropped high, defying the rules of old-school tailoring. He brought it back to earth with classic pleated pants and sleek leather shoes. He put his streetwear language on mute for a night, delivering a brand-new style statement. Here’s hoping he keeps giving us these surprises, both in music and in fashion.

2. Donna Goldn

Donna Goldn is a Belgian artist serving a sound that's a unique mashup of neo-soul and K-pop. Her music has an R&B and pop foundation. The plot twist is that almost all her lyrics are in Korean.

Her debut Korean single, 'Mashiketta,' was a viral moment, a parody of Doja Cat's 'Mooo!' Instead of asking to be a cow, she asked to be fed rice. The playful lyrics and the music video turned her into an instant meme star. Her next track, 'Grape Wifey,' continued the streak. Witty lyrics and more polished vocals were a winning combo. The playfulness is just a cover. Her musical approach is incredibly serious. She’s dropping international R&B vibes with Korean lyrics, creating a new wave in the familiar Seoul music scene.

Here we can see Donna’s style in two distinct moods. One is a more futuristic techwear aesthetic, as forward-thinking as her music. The other is a throwback to the '70s retro glam that’s suddenly everywhere again.

3. Demian Love

Demian Love is a name on the rise in the Korean indie scene. He’s a singer-songwriter who crafts warm, fuzzy feelings through his vintage acoustic sound and comforting vocals. His first full-length album, Recovered Frequencies, dropped at the end of 2023. It's full of folk and soul melodies built on acoustic guitar and piano. You’ll catch whiffs of '70s singer-songwriters mixed with a dash of '90s R&B. The perfect soundtrack for a trip down memory lane.

Demian Love’s music isn’t about flashy production. It’s all about sweet simplicity. This minimalist approach feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air for a generation raised on digital sounds. His signature tracks, ‘Home’ and ‘Right People @ Right Time,’ capture that classic pop vocal magic that lands somewhere between John Mayer and Sam Smith. The acoustic guitar strings and his delicate voice create a feeling that’s both cozy and a little bittersweet.

He’s even got a story with the hip-hop crowd. In 2022, he bumped into A$AP Rocky backstage at a concert. Demian played Rocky some of his stuff. Rocky was so blown away he asked for his number right there. You could say Rocky gave him the ultimate co-sign.

When he’s not on stage, Demian Love is still living in the past. He’ll rock a velvet suit that looks like it belongs on a '60s jazz singer. He’ll layer a beat-up band tee and a corduroy jacket under a loose cardigan for a relaxed vintage vibe. Throw on some round glasses and his slightly messy, mid-length hair, and you've got the Demian retro aesthetic in a nutshell. His Instagram is full of photos filtered to look like old Polaroids, making it feel like he’s a visitor from another time. It’s not just his music that’s inspiring. His fashion sense is a masterclass.
